WHAT'S NEW as of 6/21 Life, Ultimately officially wrapped shooting this past weekend (June 13th) filming an additional 12 scenes within two days! This month's filming in large part focused on the relationship of Dillon and Hannah and their individual personalities and understanding of the world, taking us up through Dillon becoming diagnosed with Fatal Familial Insomnia. Additional political discussion scene(s) were cut fearing it would take away from the true experience of the film. Post Production has begun and currently the film is set to premiere the end of August before being sent off in the hopes to compete in various festivals both nationally and internationally.

Status: Pre Production

READTV is a concept designed by de la Bastide Productions to engage a new kind of television audience through online readership and interactive participation by using web-based content to enhance downloadable episodic television episodes & MOWs. By Offering fresh and original television series presented in their written form available for download to an online reading audience READTV plans to capture a new kind of television "viewer" a more intelligent, imaginative "viewer" who enjoys to read, has opinions and who enjoy spending a large chunk of their free time online.

Each original READTV series, ranging from comedies to dramas, to online game shows to soap operas, will have its own website designed in a way to take the "viewer" on a journey to enhance their online reading experience. Each website will reflect the style of each individual series and offer members an array of fun, facts and information designed specifically around the original shows content. Unlike serial books and novels where you may have to wait years for another installment, new episode installments for each of READTV's series will be made available for download every month, allowing members of READTV to "watch" at will, not at a set, scheduled time. Each series will run for a minimum of 12 episodes, updated monthly to maintain and attract its audience.

READTV is also designed to bring together screenwriter's interested in television, allowing them to learn and grow as writers while experiencing online industry-working conditions such as pitch sessions, story & development meetings and feedback while creating buzz and establishing an online "viewer" audience. Each selected series will have its own website, connected to the network hub, and feature added value content to enhance the online viewer's experience. "Ratings" will be established by daily web reports that will keep track of how many hits each series web page(s) receive and how many downloads of each script occur.

READTV will also be an outlet for independent filmmaker with shorts to get their material out to an online audience via the site's screening room.
